Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026. This policy describes how RelocationService ("we", "the site") handles information when you use our planning tools.
What we store on your device
Scenario Lab may save scenarios in your browser's localStorage so you can return to drafts without an account. Consent preferences for optional analytics and advertising are also stored locally under a namespaced key.
We do not encrypt localStorage contents. Anyone with access to your device or browser profile can read saved scenarios.
Share links (v4 and v5 payloads)
When you copy a share URL, scenario inputs and outputs are encoded in the link query string (formats v4 and v5). That payload may include income, savings, ZIP codes, utility weights, and forecast summaries.
Share URLs are not encrypted. Anyone with the link can decode and view the embedded data. Do not share links you would not want others to read.
Server and logs
Rankings and region detail pages are served from precomputed static snapshots. We do not require an account for the public MVP. If optional analytics are enabled and you accept cookies, aggregated usage may be collected by our analytics provider (see consent banner).
Third-party partners
The site may link to moving and address-change partners (for example USPS, truck rental, or storage providers). Those sites have their own privacy policies. Optional display advertising, when enabled, may load scripts from ad networks only after you consent to marketing cookies.
Your choices
- Clear site data in your browser to remove localStorage scenarios.
- Use "Essential only" on the consent banner to block optional scripts.
- Avoid sharing scenario URLs if the payload is sensitive.
